Q. Why are there no prices on the Bowens website?
A. We do not sell our products directly to people. Instead we have a network of distributors around the world who set the prices of our products in their regions according to local market conditions. It would be impossible to have all of their prices on our website and to constantly keep them up-to-date. To find your closest distributor click here.

Q. Can I use my older Bowens equipment with a digital camera?
A. Yes you can, by using the Pulsar Radio Trigger set, rated at 6v you can use any Bowens equipment with your digital camera with complete peace of mind. See our equipment list of trigger voltages to check on your model.

Q. Can I use a softbox on a low powered Bowens Monobloc? A. Yes, don't expect a large coverage, work with the light as close in as possible with the sofbox to get the best results.

Q. Instead of bouncing the light off my umbrella, can I shoot through it like a softbox?
A. Yes you can, this will give you a nice diffused light, try to work close in. Rotate the light on the stand across the subject to see where the light falls. Use one umbrella and a snoot for a really good effect.

Q. Is it worth paying more for a Wafer softbox?
A. Yes it is, Wafer's are the best softboxes, and it's a combination of the design and the materials used that make them worth every penny. They have a parabolic shape that keeps the depth of the box to a minimum. The inside of the box has a combination of surfaces to ensure even light. The inner diffuser is made of Mylar and has holes, small in the middle; larger on the outside designed to keep the light out put completely even. The front diffuser ensures that the total light output is even and beautifully diffused. The Wafer range of lightboxes may appear expensive, but when you look closely at the way they are made and the quality of light they give, you won't want to use anything else.
